This established Cheswold Hill property was renewed with layered flowering gardens that complement its stone architecture and connect the home to a series of quiet outdoor spaces. Stone walls, paths, mature trees, and abundant seasonal planting give the landscape a settled, natural character.

Challenges
The large established property contained many distinct spaces, requiring a planting plan that could connect them without losing their individual character.
Plant strategy
Hydrangeas and evergreen shrubs provide structure, while black-eyed susans, alliums, Russian sage, geranium, grasses, and other flowering perennials carry color and texture through the seasons.
Installation
Existing stonework and mature trees were preserved while beds were reshaped and planted to connect the entrance, paths, sunroom, gazebo, and garden seating areas.
